We had a fabulous turnout for our first get together at the Footy Club’s final game of the season at the Oval on Sat 27th August.

Thanks must go to Jack McCallum and his company ‘Tintacar’ for donating funds towards the cost for the day and to ‘TC’ Terry Clarke for organising proceedings.

As I mentioned to those present, membership costs will be a ONE OFF payment of $50 – which includes an exclusive Polo shirt made to fit and a laminated membership card on joining.

We plan to hold a couple of get togethers next football season whether it be a dinner or just a bbq p...up (all get togethers include partners of course). Cost of these is to be at your own expense with the whole idea being renewing old friendships and chatting about the ‘good old days’. We also hope that many of us can be present at the games during the year to support the current players.

Any moneys we make during the year - from memberships or raffles – will go towards the footy clubs junior programme or whatever the footy club deems as appropriate. 

Payment of membership fees can be made by cash or cheque at Club Marion office (9am – 5pm Mon to Fri) giving shirt size and contact details. For those of you who have already ordered shirts we will notify you by either phone or email of pick up details.

Hi Everyone

Good news. Looks like we are all go to start formulating a ‘Marion Football Club Past Players & Officials’ club. Details on structure, fees, frequency of get togethers etc will be notified at a later date but to get the ball rolling we plan to have as many of you as possible to attend the Football Club’s final match of the season at the Oval on Saturday 27th August . Families are most welcome.

The game starts at 2.30pm but we intend to get together at any time after 1.00pm for drinks and nibbles beforehand and then hopefully continue throughout the afternoon and maybe the evening (ha ha).

Entry into the ground will be ZERO on the proviso that you produce this letter at the entrance to the car park.

We have been fortunate to have obtained a sponsor (thanks to TC) to donate kindly towards the cost of some drinks & nibbles but we ask that you put in $10 per head (adults) to help offset additional costs during the afternoon.
